--Evaluates the outcomes of social programs delivered and/or funded by Boulder County Aging Services, an agency whose mission is
to create a vibrant community in which we all age well.
--Was a long-term-care ombudsman in Boulder County from 1999 - 2006.
--Has a M.S.W. degree in clinical social work and a Ph.D. in communication and human relations.
--Is the co-creator of the Preventive Measures Computerized Stress Inventory, used nationally and internationally by hospitals,
wellness centers, physicians, military installations, employee assistance programs, universities, psychologists and consultants since
1984 to help people examine their sources and symptoms of stress.
--Is a graduate of the Boulder Citizens Police Academy.
--Has taught classes in loss and grief, social work research, aging and communication at 3 universities.
--Received a National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research Mary E. Switzer Distinguished Rehabilitation Research
Fellowship in 1992.
--Founded and edited Parent Care (a national newsletter for professionals who assist family caregivers), published by the University
of Kansas Gerontology Center from 1985-1991.
--Was the coordinator for the Kansas Governor’s Conference on Aging in 1985.
--Is a CU graduate and a member of the CU alumni association.
